Weird. i guess i had a short time period when I needed to change a bit. You probably need to replace your e34 shocks all around at 150K. Im not sure about the e39 though. My e34 runs awesome, with the exception of old BMW's infamous electrical problems (mainly locking system). BOO. But everythign else runs like its at about 100K

My moms 98' 528i (yes same basic car as mine, BUT NOT MINE) has 180,000 and has no major problems up to that point. And still none!

My car has 85,000 if anyone was wondering

My 97 540i6 had 100k when I bought it last October. 15K later I have replaced struts, shocks, springs, frt. wheel bearings, rotors and pads. I change oil every 5K w/Mobil 1 and have changed tranny and differential fluids. The car was well cared for previously, which shows that regular maint. is very important to the life of the car.

I researched b4 purchasing my 540 and got the same response of 200 to 300K with regular services performed. I hoping I go to 200K+, I still have my original clutch w/ no slippage! Knock on wood!

lol im just playing, but if u take as much care of it as u can it should run, whenever something goes wrong mechanically immedeitly replace it, or atleast something that may effect other things
