E39 Check Engine Light

I have a 1997 540i with approximately 102k miles. The check engine keeps coming on. My mechanic has checked the codes several times. We replaced the Cam Sensor Position Sensor. Check Engine light came back on. We have the follwing codes coming back to us - 112 CamSensor, 35 Additive Mixture, 27 Additive Mixture limit reached.

The car seems to run ok, but it will sometimes have a slight delay in acceleration and "cough" before good power is resumed.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

aditive mixture faults could be either vacuum leaks or pcv plate or both. Also could be a faulty MAF. reoccuring camshaft sensor fault is odd. Usually the sensors just fail. Did you replace it with a used or afttermarket sensor when it was replaced? Maybe try a factory sensor if that is the case.
