Hey guys, just another newbie here... i've read a couple posts about brake linings light problem, not sure if it was in this forum or not, but most would say once it goes off you need to replace the sensor along with the brake pads....

Well i have a 2003 530 and with only about 25% worn brake pads, the "Check Brake Linings" light goes off then disapears, off and on like that for about 2 months now... I know its nothin major, thats why i didnt bother doing anything about it. But now its just buggin me out, the light it self is.. I personally think its something with the wiring, but then again i have no idea

So if you think you know what the prob is or have had this happen before and found a solution please let me know!

...and sorry if my lang. isnt all that good, im still learning! :P

with 75% left on breaks , it cann't be the pads...Break pad sensors? faulty wiring. also on 2003 are you still covered under the warranty; "mileage" wise?
regards

No, no warranty on it.. it has been in a minor wreck by the previous owner. I would think its because of the previous accident, but from what i heard, the car was hit somewhere in the front right.. it had some exterior parts replaced. But from what i read in the forum the sensor for the brake pads is on the left front.. right?! So i don't know, i havent had any problems with the car up until now.
