| E39 Aux Fan Problem Does anyone know if you remove the Aux Fan that the check engine light comes on? I had mine go bad- bearings. tried to install an aftermarket one and found it was a single speed instead of the 3-wire multi speed that comes with the car. Anyway, I had to leave it off to drive the car and now the check engine light is on and the AC compressor won't come on( I was trying it for just a minute etc. it was cool out so I was not worried about a high head pressure issue for a minute or two). I have a new assembly coming this week, but was concerned with the check engine light coming on. Car runs fine. I am assuming the car is reading the circuit thru the aux fan and does not see the continuity of the motor. Anyone have any knowledge.
Thanks,
