Hi,
My 97 E39 AC compressor is about to give up. The bearing is making a dreadful racket and I think it's only a matter of time before it gives up.
I want to get it fixed before the summer (if we have one in the UK) so if anyone has any tips on aftermarket replacements to look for/avoid amongst the car AC repair companies that are out there I'd appreciate as I don't want to spend 100's at a BMW dealer getting a factory replacement just because it has BMW written on it.
