My car is an automatic 525 and intermittently I lose a lot of power and the engine seem rough sometimes before running rough it seems to hiccup and the engine jolts
I have already changed the EGR valve (under the inlet and connected to the crankcase breather) thingy and will be changing the spark plugs tomorrow morning and the air filter is new and clean
I have tested on a short run with out the MAF connected but the problem happened again
however it runs fine most of the time and accelerates well
no warning lights come on the dash board but I have no way of checking error codes

It is the CCV (under the inlet and connected to the crankcase breather) thingy I have replaced
To help temp reset the problem when it happens - just stop turn off engine for say 30 secs and restart
I will clean the MAF and throttle body next weekend as I have more time and it is a bank holiday
