Hi all.
My car idles a bit irregularly, like in waves: Rrrrm, Rrrrm, Rrrrm, Rrrrm.
I have removed and cleaned up the Idle Control Valve. That didn't fix the idle.
I revised all the vacuum hoses and replaced most of them using bolt driven clamps. Using those same clamps, I replaced any clamps related with the intake manifold. That didn't fix the idle.
Now reviewing the posts here, I learned the idle issue could be due to a blade missing at the radiator fan, which is the case.
Tomorrow I'm going to fix that. I hope that fixes the idle problem, otherwise I have no clues.
But today other problem arised: Stalling.
The valve cover was leaking. I repaired it, cleaned up the oil spilled over the exhaust manifold, started the engine and let it running, checking for any leaks and burning the remaining oil on the exhaust.
After some 10/15 minutes running at idle, it stalled all of a sudden.
Cranked over and started normally.
Later I drove some 30 street miles and the engine tried to stall at some light stops.
I am guessing the stalling problem could be due to the fuel filter.
May I know what your guess are for both problems?
