the reason that you aren't supposed to unlock the tv to watch it while you drive is simple. If your eyes are on the TV, they're not on the road. And thats bad.

R.I.P fast 6

Two wheels or Four, I'm happy as long as the throttle is pinned.

I found following instructions for E38 and E39 small NAVI/TV

But I'm not sure that it works correctly

The original version of the MK1 with a male voice navigation:
1) turned on the ignition - line 2
2) activate the TV
3) enter the "settings"
4) enter the "contrast"
5) when it is activated - press and hold right button
6) while still holding the button turn off the ignition
7) wait 8-10sec (follow the exact time)
8) release button
9) turn on the ignition
10) turn on TV.

Version of the Mk2 navigation with a woman voice navigation:
1) turned on the ignition - line 2
2) activate the TV
3) enter the "settings"
4) enter the "brightness"
5) when it is activated, pressing the right button and press and hold
6) while still holding the button excludes the ignition
7) wait 8-10sec (follow the exact time)
8) release button
9) turn on the ignition
10) turn on TV.
