E34 wount start when hot

I have a 1995 530 that will not start when the engine is hot after being driven for more that 20 minutes.When i attempt to crank it up all the lights in the dash come on but no cranking sound whatsoever.its dead silent.I usually have to wait between 20 min upto an hour and when i attempt to start it starts just fine.This only happens when the car has been driven.If it has not been driven like when im leaving home it starts up no problem even in the hottest of days... please help

You may have a bad starter. If you have an Oreilly's/Auto Zone/Napa in your area, most will check starters for free when you bring it in. On my 525 the starter is real easy to remove, not sure on the 530. Hope that helps.
