e34 wheel fitment...

Ok guys... so... I think this winter I'm going to have to pick up some new shoes fo my whip!

Ok, enough gangsta. She does need some new shoes. And I think I've got the ones I want picked out...

However, I'm unsure if I'll need spacers or not... I've never dealt with rims before so... If one of you guys could help me out and explain exactly what I'd need to do to get these to work and perhaps the pros and cons of using spacers/offsets/whatever.

Oh yeah... This is what I'm looking at:
eBay Motors: 17 Bmw 3 series M3 318 320 323 325 328 330 wheels rims (item 290159955461 end time Sep-15-07 10:05:45 PDT)

Seeing that these wheels carry the following spec - 17 x 7.5" / 35mm offset replica for a 3-series.

You will need spacers and hub rings. The hub size for that 3-series is 74 and our E34s are 72.56 and a setup for an offset of 20mm. A set of hub rings run about $40. Spacers vary on price.

cool. Thanks for the info.

I'm working on fedex right now, I'm gonna drive over to kinkos later today and locate a suitable box.

5x120 20mm 72.56 hub diameter

if the offset is higher, you'll need spacers (which you really dont want), if it's lower it will work up to a point ... too low, it will rub the fenders

to use e39 wheels you need hubcentric rings.
