I'm looking into converting my e34 from an auto to a manual. I have access to all of the parts needed but I would have to have someone put it in for me... How long do you think it would take? I need to try to calculate how long the labor would be so I have an idea what I'm getting into here... What are your guys's thoughts?

The word is it's gonna cost way too much for labor... So I am going to do what is suggested to me by people on another forum....
Drain it, add old fluid to a gallon jug, add Lucas Tranny additive to jug and fill just up with new fluid (thus making a conculction of old fluid, additive and new fluid), Swap out the filter and gaskets that come with a transmission kit, fill up with the mixture i made.
What are your thoughts? I think it sounds like a good idea to attempt to save my transmission...
