e34 power steering hose replacement

Has anyone replaced a power steering hose in an e34 525i? I looked in bentley and they don't mention anything. Just power steering pump, not the hose. How difficult????? The BMW shop wants $179 and i would love to save some money if it is a simple repair. Thanks in advance.

i have replaced the hoses on our '93 525 and it wasn't that bad.

here's a link to a writeup I did; we were also replacing a coolant hose, radiator, and some other stuff so there's a lot you won't have to do.

it's really pretty easy - if the reservoir is original, might as well replace it at the same time.
