E34 mirrors

Does anybody know if theres any way to retro fit mirrors from a 1996 328i on to my 1989 535i. The e36 mirrors have the same look as the newer e34 models but i think the hookup is different. I havent bought them yet so i dont know how different they are. i just wan to make sure before i get them if they will fit or not. Just want to update the look of the car if it can be done? I've attached a pic of the mirrors.

To be honest with you.. they will not fit perfectly... but with a little extra help.. .maybe a little glue or sylicone... you could make that work. I dont see why not.... I'm not sure about the power of them... it looks as if they power wires are the same.. which might just be good for you... I'd buy them and try... you can always sell them to someone else eventually.
