Hello again, I own a 1990 E34(m20) and the wife spun around on slush with it the other day the car drives just fine. But the ignition lock housing is screwed up I can turn the key to unlock the wheel thats all, the tubler is fine I belive and the ignition switch is okay. I removed the switch to start it with a screwdriver. It runs fine down the road I have to keep my hand on the key when I turn or the wheel will lock up. I can not find no info on this in the Bently or anywhere. Is this something the dealer has to remove? Is it the whole housing or steering column. Cost for something like this? I am afraid of Dealer prices... It is a very nice car I have 1700.00 into the front end just 9 months ago. If you can help me determibne what I need to do or to see the dealer I appreciate the help.
