I have a BMW E34 525 M50 engine, has really bad font end shaking, just put HD thrust arm bushes and the control arm seems like its in pretty good nick. The dics are fine wheels have no buckle and have been balanced about 5 times in the last 2 months now, new tyres, only problem with the car seems to be the shockers are gone and needs new ones.
The shaking starts from about 70 and gets worse and worse, till its unbearable at about 100 and than gets more rapid as I increase speed.
Anyone out there had similar problem where bushes were good but still shaking around, I have tried about 5 mechanics and read 20 million forums and can't find anything, anyone out there got any ideas.
Had a look at the lower control arm seems pretty good, but will be pulling that out next weekend hpoefully, just more or less wanted to know if there are any other issues that actually may occur apart from the usual bushings and wheels, cause I have eliminated most of that.
do you feel it in the steeringwheel? could be your driveshaft outta balance

Finally solved the issue, after 1600 bucks and about 3, 4 hours mucking around on the bushes and everything. Apparently, and I dont know why none of the mechanics or wheel shops could tell me, if you put E39 wheels on a E34 it needs hub rings, there is a slight difference in the inside corner of the wheel where it touches the hub, which needs to be filled, the problem was easy fixed for 20 bucks.
Good news though, got bilsteins shocks now and it drives fantastic abit harder than normal but fairly good, and got the eibach's coming now as well.
