I wonder if anyone can help. I have a E34 525 TDS SE 1993 and I have had the master clutch cylinder replaced for the third time in 2 years.
Before that I had the car 3 years with no problems. The replacement parts are genuine but I as I am in the military I wear big boots for most of my driving. (I may be stamping on the pedal too hard?)
Is the problem common? Any ideas or suggestions for avoiding future probs.
Another bad habit is to hold the clutch in while waiting in traffic/red lights....To separate the clutch pressure plate the throw out bearing has to get involved so if those big boots like to hold the clutch in for too long, the bearing may wear out too.
