e34 automatic air conditioning console swap. Is it possible? - BMW Forum

Hello Guys.... Here is my first question... I want to put on my e34 a bit of the extras that come on higher series, as mine is a 520i, so I´ll install electric rear windows, already installed front fog lights, and other stuff... So my question is if it is possible to swap the standar A/C console with the automatic one that comes as an extra in the 535i and 540i.

Here is a picture of the console I want to remove. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Thanks Withey... It is already posted here e34 automatic air contioning console swap. Is it possible? - Bimmerforums - The Ultimate BMW Forum ... If you want to keep track... anyway, I´ll be posting here any advances I get from anywhere... because I´m registered in some Sapin BMW clubs too...

Ok, absolutely no way...

Even if you got a TON of free time and money to buy all the valves, wiring harnesses and entire air management devices of another e34 to swap in your manual bowden cable one... you´ll not be happy, because seems that the automatic conditioning system tends to fail and deliver poor performance, So for anyone who is willing to do the change is better to stay with the manual common one.
