Is it possible to hook up a remote door opener and an alarm on a 1990 525i? If so, where could i buy the kit, and where would i hook it up to? (i heard that there is alreayd a hookup for it somewhere in the car)
Also, im trying to put a new head unit in, and i've got the power wires all hooked up, but i cant get the speaker wires done right.. THere are only 4 of them it seems, and no ground. I looked all over the internet, including the bmwe34.NET site.. That didnt help me much. This sound system and the speaker wires have been bugging me for a LONG WHILE now.. can anyone help me out on this?? Thanks

The alarm wiring/location is usually under the rear seat.
I have just fitted a radio to my E34 and there should be 8 speaker wires, purple/purpleblack, green/green black, white/white black and grey/grey black. I use a 9 volt battery (the small square one) to test which wires are for which speaker - put 2 of the wires onto the battery terminals and see if you hear anything. Could it be that the wires have fallen further into the dash cut-out?
