My E34 525tds Touring started to shutdown while driving.

My fuel pump, turbo and engine are in perfect shape.

Problem diagnosed:
Too much slack on the timing chain.
Full timing kit on the way!

410.000kms and 19 years old and not getting any younger...

You might have got away with just renewing the timing-chain tensioner !!

Its supposed to change the tensioner every 200.000km.
Mine E34 has at the moment about 410.000km.
Changing it all... doesnt seems inappropriate to me!

Thanks for the heads up anyway!
