hi all, ive just join this forum and am hoping for sum help and advice on my current project and future ones to.
well, at the moment i have 2 e34 525 tds, the first 1 is 1995 manual with ews, and a twisted shell, everything inn the car bar the shell is almost mint.
the second is a 1994 auto se which doesnt have ews. it is rather shabby and the engine and box are not very good.
i am in the process of swapping the engine, manual box, ecu, sespention, breaks, interior.
the main problem i have come across at the moment is that the first 1 that i am taking the parts from has ews and the second 1 doesnt.
i dont really want to swap the hole car wiring, so is there another option?
could i just trace the 2 wires from the transponder box by the ignition barrol to the ecu on the first and run sum wires in the seconed and put the transponder box in??

You can use old wiring with old ECU since engine is the same, make sure your knock sensor plugs are the same, along with oxygen sensor plugs.
If you decided to swap in EWS one, do EWS delete via after market chip or have a BMW tech overwrite it.
hi, thanks for the reply, i have already put the engine manual box and engine wiring loom and ecu in the car.
i dont really want to swap the rest of the car loom as i belive this would be alot of work, ive been told that the wires from the trasponder box on the stearing colum go to a control box behind the glove box, if i can trace the wires from that could i then trancefer them from the old1 to the new1 and connect to the relevent connecters on the ecu? or is this not possable? my ecu has already been chiped i belive but i have no paperwork for this but i no i goes alot faster than standared.
