jonnyb is an unknown quantity at this point
hi everyone,
my 5er started leaking brake fluid a lot. i will have to fill it about 3 times a week. i keep my eye on it daily so i dont run too low cuz i know how bad that can be. i finally got it on a lift today. i see that its leaking all down the drivers frame rail. it looks like it is coming straight out of the booster. as far as i knew there isnt any fluid in the booster(vacume i think) i think that most likely it would be the master but the front of the booster is dry. any ideas? i dont want to replace the booster if i dont have to $300. thanks in advance.
by the way its a 91 525i with the m50 motor if it makes any difference

It's the master, a pretty easy job. Make sure you bleed all the air out.

bad man working is an unknown quantity at this point
I agree it’s the master but if you can’t find all the brake fluid it’s used it’s probably in the booster and you need to drain it when you change the master
