E34 1995 540i Mods?

I'm turing 17 in a month and I think I know what I want for my birthday. About 9months ago my dad got a new car (Audi RS6). So he gave me his old 1995 540i. For my 17th birthday I'm getting some stuff done to my car. We live about 15 miles away from DINAN in Sunnyvale?, California. AS of now I will be getting a stage 2 KONI suspension, an engine chip, and free-flow exaust. The exaust and the chip claim to boost HP from 282 (stock) to 317. These mods are going to cost a bit over $4,000. Does anyone out there have an E34 5-series (especially 540) that they have made modifications to? IF so I would really appreciate more ideas onn what to do with my car my buget is about $7500 so after the DINAN stuff I've got about $3000 left.

Dinan turbo, exhaust and chip. Leave suspension for later ... it handles good enough as it is.

I agree with you........get a DINAN chip,do the exhaust,and maybe do something with the lites etc. I agree with torque about the suspension but cannot fathom his idea of turboing a 540 !!!

i know of at least 2 people on another bmw board that have 540 turbo's. its the greatness.

It would be wonderful to have a look at some engine pics and look at the software used etc for those turbo 540 torque knows of,i'd be very keen to look through all the details.The fact he only knows of 2 makes me rather concerned at what the cost of such a project would run to.
Hoping to see some details however.
