How is everbody? I'm new to the forum and have a 92 525i and 89 635csi. I have a question about a friend of mines 528e! He was driving into work this morning and all of a sudden he had no forward gears! He has reverse. It gave him no indication that there was a problem. This is my question. I have a tranny out of a 84 633csi will this work in his car? Or does anyone have any ideas about fixing the one thats in there? any info would be great! Thank you in advance!
trans out of the 633 will not work.You didn't state whta year 528e, but I am guessing a 4hp22 as that is a classic failure.The trans can be fixed relatively cheaply by someone who knows how to do it. With the trans out of the car, it's a 1 hour job, maybe 2, replace the seals and the clutch plates in the "A" clutch pack
