E28 Taillight Problems

Hey everyone,So i have been going over the car i recently acquired and everything seems to be ok,Im having mino issues like the speedo cable loose and rpms quit working yesterday,But my dad told me yesterday there is a issue with the taillights,Says they randomly go out and he has had to get up in the mourning and jiggle the connector back there to get them to work....I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what might be some good ways tto fix this,Sorry for the lack of info on exactly its doing havent been able to touch it much...

Have you had a look at the connector in question? Maybe there's a way to replace or fix it.
