Driver's side window doesn't work.

When I press the switch on the window. I hear the switch click and I hear a click behind the driver's seat (regulator maybe?), but I don't hear a click in the door. All other windows work and I hear the click behind the driver's seat and in the door.

I'm assuming my problem is either a regulator or the motor or the wiring or connection(s) in between.

I just bought the car a few days ago. The window worked slowly for a little while and now it's stopped working.

If any one has this problem in the future. The regulator needs to be greased maybe, but the main problem is with the motor. It (and the regulator) need to be taken off and the metal cover needs to be removed from the motor. Then remove the shaft. You will see two spring loaded contacts that need to be touching the shaft. The grease hardens and prevent these little contact form touching the shaft. That's why banging the door turns the motor on. I've wondered how many people have needlessly bought a new motor (and regulator).
