Driver door lock and key

read a few threads and still can't figure it out, so I thought I' ask:
1993, e34. Door locks. trunk works, locks everything and unlocks.
Passenger door , same, locks everything and unlocks.

Driver door, I can lock it with a key, unlock it from the inside or a button, handle all ok. Can't unlock it from the outside with a key, that is the only problem. Makes good noise when I lock it with a key, nothing at all with an unlocking motion with a key. Any Ideal?

Have you taken the door panel to see if any thing looks out of place. Lord Vader had mentions something about the door actuator going bad causing problems similar to this on another thread. I'm sure he should comment here when he logs back in to ad his input on what u problem might be.
