Ok so I have seen a couple post about the door dinging sensor. I have the same problem! How do I disconnect the sensor???? Please help for my sanity!

94-540i is on a distinguished road
The sensor is in the panel above the the brake petals. There are a few slots, most are floor heat. The round opening is the chime. Pinch the clips on each side, and you should be abe to pull it out and disconnect.

Rember, disconnecting chime disables OBC warnings and key in ignition etc
