I want to put an in-dash head unit with a touch screen; not one taht folds out. does anyone know the size of the stereo on a 540 sport. im not sure what i can fit, if anything. Thanks for any help
A double din will fit you will have to modify your air ducks behind your radio. Also if you have dsp amplifier you will need to bypass it aswell. or replace it with a 6 channel amplifier. First choice would be jl audio e6400 amp
Thanks alot. what is required with the air ducts? also, i was planning on just getting a 4channel amp and running focal speakers, then a different amp for my 12w6 JL subs. does this sound like a good setup?
First of all do you have the factory subs under the rear deck? Also as far as the airduct cutting its not bad i used dynamat to seal up the hole, it worked great. Bass is a little difficult to get through the trunk so if you have the factory subs i would amplify those first.
i was planning on taking out the factory subs and make holes in the back so the air can pass through. i am getting 2 12w6v2's and am gonna tilt them in the spare tire well. is this a bad idea?

sounds good i'd put the front 2 channels for all the front speakers, and the rears to the rear of course. then the subs get their own amp.
oh and don't worry about switching the mid's. they're pretty high quality and won't notice a quality difference. i put an amp to them and they're sharp and loud, distortion free. just put caps on the smaller speakers and tweeters.
