Dichedguy Billb Please Help On Replace Thermostat

Hi,

My vechicle 1997 BMW 528i 118K.
Ever since my engine temp gauge move toward the overheat light.
I been asking around what could be the problem.
Most of them believe it is the thermostat since the upper hose is very hot
and have pressure.

I try to replace the thermostat myself, but I am not a daily mechanic person.

Please help me with the steps in replace it.

I don't know if I have to take out the fan cover?
How to take the fan out?
Please if u can list steps by steps for replace the thermostat????
