dead 525i

I have a 2002 525i and last night my husband jumped his MINI Cooper S with it. It stayed running after his car started, then I turned it off and went inside. I go out this morning and my car is completely dead. My battery was fine. Does anyone know what we did wrong? He connected the cables to the battery itself.

Maybe popped a fuse?
There is a Batt+ connection under the hood, just ground/earth the other cable to the engine/hook...
