Hi folks - I have a 2001 525it sport wagon with all the bells and whistles - bought it brand new and had it set up to have daytime running lights... I am sure I had angel eyes on in this mode and I did not have to turn my headlight switch at all for them to be on. Well, I rear ended someone and had to have my headlights replaced along with my hood (ouch) - and after that had to have my headlights adjusted (Xenon) - after the adjustment I had no daytime lights - I took it back to the dealership and they turned on my daytime lights which only included the 'headlights" - not angel eyes and was told there was no option for that when it was hooked to the computer.... I now have to turn my headlight switch one notch over to have my angel eyes come on - I know this is not the way it was - but have no proof - I fear I may be losing my mind.... I can't say for sure if I had my angel eyes after the accident or not - but before that I am most positive. I'm confused - my license plate is Angelk9 for my dog that I lost to cancer one week before my car was delivered and it was delivered on her birthday.... I love my car and just want my angel eyes back - any feedback would be MOST appreciated... thanks Susan ghead
I don't know about your model year, but I have seen daytime running lights with the angel eyes "ON" on newer newer 5 series models... So it's possible that you're not loosing your mind!! check with a different dealer over the phone in your area and talk to some one in the parts department...
If you live is So. Cal, Long beach BMW or Hermosa Beach are your best bets..
