Dave Z Flat-out Rocks!!

I had my first encounter today with Dave Zeckenhausen, aka Dave Z, and I must say that it won't be my last as long as I own a 540 6-speed. I called Zeckhausen Racing this afternoon to order some brake parts in hopes I'd get a chance to talk to someone who could recommend the right rotors to go with my choice of Axxis Deluxe Plus brake pads. Well, Dave Z answered my call himself and proceeded to talk my ear off (in a good way!!).

The guy knows his stuff, is candid, freely shares advice, opinions and insight, and is just a flat-out good guy. He was VERY patient in answering all of my questions...No, it was MORE than that - it was more like he HAD to share his knowledge of all things underneath BMW E39's and he made me feel like I was helping him by listening to all of this vocal gold! WOW!

I ordered F&R Axxis deluxe pads, a CDV delete, s/s braided brake lines, and a pair of front wheel bearings (he included the new pre-coated bolts and new pinch bolt & nut without me having to ask).
