I have a 1990 535i

my dash lights were out for a while- turns out the left side parking lights were out. When I replaced the fuse the dash lights went back on. Then the fuse kept popping... turns out there was a frayed wire inside the trunk section. The guy only charged me $50. The odometer light still wont go on- but to see the mileage, whenm you are driving, pull slightly on the e-brake. At night the "PARKING BRAKE" text in the message box will give you enough to read the mileage.
