In-dash Lcd Display Problem

Hi guys, I'm having problems finding any info on this issue im tryin to deal with, so if there previously was a post about this please link me, because obviously i couldn't find it.
What i'm having problems with is the in dash display screen, some pixels arent working.. and everytime i start the car different pixels disappear, and others appear instead, and it seems like they disappear in lines, vertically.. I'll attach a picture so you have a better idea of what i'm talkin about.



Oh and btw this started happening last winter, it started out with one or two lines missing, and at times it would work just fine with 0 missing, but now i'm lucky if i can read what it shows at all.

So if anything... any ideas of how to fix this, please!!! let me know!

This is a very common, almost universal problem with the E39's...However there is a cheap solution. BMWNA has awknowledged that they used faulty clusters and replaces them free....you just pay the labor.

Contact Leonora.Vlaovich@bmwna.com and tell her exactly what the problem is...provide her with the VIN and mileage on the car and they'll ship the cluster to a BMW dealer. The labor for this job only costs about $80...

This is what I did and it was all taken care of in about 2 weeks....
