Cut E39 Door Mirror Wires - Now Car Wont START. Help

Luckily my dad has another bmw, because its been about
3 months since his car wont start.

His Passenger side (right) door mirror got damaged, so he
got another door mirror from the junk yard.
He took off the old mirror, cut the wires connecting and placed
re-connected the new mirror.
After that was done the car wont start.
He has checked all fuses.
The car cuts on, radio on, lights on. but it just wont start.
He even swamped out his ignition switch with his other car to see
if that was the problem.
Still wont start.
He even got a new key.
Its been 3 months now. and nothing

Out of curiosity why did he cut the wires? There should be a plug and play connection for the side view mirrors. I'm not wondering if cutting the wires set off the anti theft or something like that.

The mirror he got didnt have a plug at the end... so he just wired them together.
(he got an undamaged one from the junk yard)

After he realized the car didnt start he told it off and it still wouldnt start. and he put the old one back on, and still nothing.

hopefully someone reading this knows whats going on.

Does the central locking activate at all? Does the engine crank over at all?

The central locking system doesnt activate and it doesnt crank over at all.
not even a click.
But like i said everything else cuts on lights, dashboard, radio etc. no fuel fuel pump sound s
