My old cruise control(before I replaced it)just stopped working on me right before I started my trip to Miami......before it did.....for a while...it would be jumpy on the the throttle while activated.....it would go thru its issues of doing it but I didn't use it allot so I left it alone...UNTIL it finally stopped working.
Now I replaced it last week and while testing it.....it's doing the "jumpy throttle thing" every once and a while.
Note: I notice when the cruise has to increase or decrease to maintain speeds, this is when the "jumpy throttle" issue would start...then stop. Help.
I had A similar problem where it turned out to be one of the two throttle cables......the cruise control cable goes towards the back and then makes a sharp turn towards the front of the engine....
Also a faulty brake light switch will stop your cruise control from working.....
