This is a new problem...
I had an oil leak for awhile but i got "OIL STOP LEAK" or something and it's virtually stopped. Now i go outside and see coolant on the ground. I just got a new radiator so i know it's not that..... And no today i went to the store and saw a VERY VERY VERY Faint while haze... like fog coming outa my heat/ac vents it only lasted like 2-5 seconds and i cranked on the heat too see if anymore would come out... None did and the heat worked fine... As i was out the car DID NOT overheated. Can anyone help me? it seems like one thing after another with this car...
If it was the heater core, it would drip out of the ac drains, which would be at about the foot pedal position. If it's closer to the front, its gotta be something else.
Fill the coolant, run the engine and let it get hot. This will pressurize the cooling system, which will make finding a leak easier.
Grab the engine fan with the engine off, and see if there is any play in the pump-even if there isn't, it may still be leaking. A good flashlite and a mirror are good for seeing the small out of the way places.
I know this might sound dumb but what does the air from your vents smell like? (not pot smoke king scare) Where do you live? Has the a/c been serviced recently? and Is there any condensation around the vents?
