Comfort Access System - BMW Forum

Recently I bought a Certified 2007 530xi. Still in the learning process with the I-drive and all the features. On the original sticker/invoice Comfortl Access System was $1,000. When I went to use it didn't work. Come to find out that it is not there.

: Was told by the dealer the $1,000 charge was for bundled comfort features (tilt steering, heated steering wheel, etc...)

used: The 2007 was sold that way and they changed it in the future years. On the 2009 it is a seperate option and costs $1,000. Isn't that interesting !!:yikes:

My question(s) to all of you:
(1) Do you have the Comfort Access System (which is the keyless entry/locking system) ?
(2) Where you charged $1,000 for it ?
(3) If you were charged, did you get the same explanation I did and NO system ?

Please let me know.

so what is your question, exactly. you have all sorts of terminology and whatnot thrown all over the place.

comfort access: key is in your pocket and you can open the door and start the car, plus lock it without anything but your finger and the key IS IN YOUR POCKET.
comfort/convenience package: tilt wheel/heated seats/ stuff like that.
keyless entry: you pushing the button on the remote to open the car BUT HAVING to insert it into the ignition to start the car.
