Cluthproblem

Was trying to get a drift in a roundabout near school theother week and shifted down to 1st gear ...small drift...belive it or not:P...but when i came out and out on the striaght the gearknob started banging from left to right and some odd banging sounds from what i think is the cluth...nothing when car is at a still...and no difference when u go up the rpm scale...

also the car goes fine no jummping or so...but it bangs pretty vigourusly from me to feel comfortable about it

any ideas?

Downshifted into 1st gear? How fast where you going?

about 40km/h...just wanted to push it to the limit and see if i could get it to loose the grip:P if you got 265/35 on a 150hp car...it doesnt happen to often:P
