Easy to clean them ... If you know the location, pull the cover carefully holding it from booth sides, remove the filter & clean it with air but not with water. You can also clean the AC filters (two of them are available normally). Try to clean them all, it is easy job.
Since you mentioned both air filters, I assume you must be refering to the cabin carbon filters. Remove them (easy clip-off tops) and use an air-hose to blow them clean. Then put them back into the compartments, leave the tops open, run the air/fan on high in the car. Spray a disinfectant, like Lysol can spray into the two air filters and let the disinfectant flow into the vents. Helps with mildew and stale smell in your ac vents.
When I do it, I drape a large bedsheet over my leather seats, just in case the Lysol mist that blows thru' your vents stains the leather. I don't know if they do, but just to be safe than sorry.
