My check engine light will appear for about 2-3 minutes and then it goes off for a couple of hours. Just started doing this when the outside temp is in the 90's with very high humidity. Can the heat & humidity be causing this to happen. Otherwise, car is running just fine.
I live in the northeast, and have had that problem off and on. I have also noticed it is related to how crappy the gas is that I use during the heat waves.
hope this helps.

Thanks. I live in Maryland. Never had the problem when I only used Sunoco mid-grade. Now, I live in an area with very few Sunoco's - switch between Chevron & Exxon
