crazy ivan n00b Join Date: Jul 2004 Car: Posts: 9 Photos:	I have one E39 1997 model. its an 520 with steptronic gear box. is it possible, witout any modifications to change engine to 523 or 528 engine?

silverlea 1st Gear Member Join Date: Apr 2004 Location: New Zealand Car: Posts: 142 Photos:	NO............mods required to do this job. Engine mounts. Driveshaft length. Throttle cable. Speedo cable. Exhaust brackets. Different bellhousing. trust me.........its never easy,and the list always goes on and on. Trade the car and get another one.........you'll have less pain in the long run. good Luck SILVERLEA.
