Unhappy Cell Phone Pairing Problem?

I just blew the CCC iDrive main compter module, - brand new 535xi - had the entire unit replaced. I can't get straight answers from anyone. The hint is that my cell phone may have caused the unit to crash. It is not on the BMW "approved list" of phones which is way out of date. The phone is a Verizon, LG VX8600, top of the line, latest Bluetooth software. The hint is also that if I do it again I will void the warranty. Has anyone successfully paired an LG? Any intel on this issue ? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

I have not paired LG but if you are looking for a device to pair with your loved 535 then go with SE k800i, it paired fine with me.

Cheers,
Jad

I can't connect Nokia 6500 Slide to Bmw 525dA, the phone cannot find the car's bluetooth. Any suggestions?

I was told by my BMW dealer that the LG Dare is not on the approved list because it has not been tested. However he guaranteed me that I won't cause any malfuntions with the electronics in the car... I just don't have full use of the bluetooth capabilities... as long as I can talk handsfree in the car will have to suffice.
I have emailed LG to let them know the problem. Maybe they will come up with updated software I can download into phone
