Car won't start after it rains

Hello everyone,

I am towing my 1995 525i (126k) to the Mechanic for the 4th time in 8 months. It appears that everytime it rains and the weather is damp/wet, my car will not start. The engine cranks, but will not start. So far, I have had the spark plugs replaced, new fuel pump and fuel regulator installed. Someone told me I could have a bad seal on the electric control box...which lets the water/dampness in.
Looking for any advice & getting desperate.

Thanks,
Eric

Download the Bentley service manual located at the top of the 5-series forum. That should help you troubleshoot.

Yes most likely it is water entering the EBox. This is somewhat common. Make sure to clear the ebox drains after repairing any damage to the wiring and/or engine control module
