car Software

Hello.I write computer software.I was working on a carputer.The software I am making would give real time engine temp,Oil temp,RPMS and shift time,Air fule mixture adjustment,MPG that realy works,Rear backup camera and DVD mp3s lots of other things.The problem is interfacing the ECM.Does any one know anything about this???Your imput would be most helpfull.Iv got the basic shell of the program created. It works gut,But needs the bugs worked out.I was using non BMW sensors.Most of them are ford.Anyway maybe someone could help me with interfacing the ECM???

do you have a benz and what kind ... sry i cant help with the sensor thing but if you get the ford sensors running good i got a benz with a ford 302 in it from a 1986 mustang gt

I dont have a BENz just my 2000 528i.I was using ford sensors to see if they worked with the usb cable.They arent in a car.Some did some didnt.Carsoft has some good software.But it doesn't work in real time.Like when your driving.I was trying to make a program that could work with the ECU.I found the 20 pin connector,That would work with my carputer.I'll keep working at it.I have some friends working with me.We will get it to work.It's just going to take some time.Anyway,Thanks for your interest.

when u do get it running, please do not forget that BMW has sensors everywhere like the gearbox and axle, and switches everywhere. windows, doors, trunk, etc. if your software will work on my car i will be more than willing to BETA TEST it for you on my car, i have a 1994 530v8 Automatic.
