I have a 525d sport automatic 57 plate. I have noticed every now and again that it will jump when I pull away from a standing start whilst the engine is running. I have had it checked out but no error codes have registered. Has anyone else had this problem ?
regards
what do you mean exactly by it jumps? do you mean it accelerates for a second with out you doing anything or do you mean it bogs down for a second then catches up to speed?
Thanks for the replies guys. The car jolts for a 1/2 a second or so when I realease the footbrake and press accelerator. A kick in the back would be a good description. Mabye it could be the brakes being slow in release ? It can happen twice in succession and then not for two weeks.
Sounds like your auto trans. When was it last serviced if ever?

Hmmmm I know the older 5's suffered from a software glitch... I'll have to check service info but I would definatly go back to the dealer and talk to a service manager about it
