yuppers, it'll go right in. the only issue you might have is depth. those flip out monitors are usually deep and have a lot of RCA cables hanging off the back of it. it'll go though...

e34 has a ton of space in there to put all the cables, from what i remember (2 mp3 player installs in 1 day a couple of months ago).
i was thinking the heat/ac controls were right below there and are exposed, plus the obc to the right (nothing can go to the right), i cant remember, maybe there is a lot of room to the left, its been a few years since ive had to get into my dash...

there is space in the back and to the left; i'd say more than enough, unless of course he is going to attempt building a nuclear power plant behind it. lol
