Can I swap my e34 3.0L v8 with a e34 4.0L v8 & tarnny?

I wanted to upgrade to the 4.0 v8 M60 and it's tranny and wonder if the 530iA I have will bolt-up to the this 540iA eng & tranny?

yes u can do that, u have to get every thing from the 540 like engine, tranny, driveshaft wiring harness ECU and everything else is easy, u need also 540 tranny mounting coz the 530 is smaller.

Have you done this before or know how it's done with my 530 chassis?

Are the engine & trans mount locations the same but need the 4.0L trans carrier bracket for strength/mounting?

So are you saming the 4.0L and it's trans are longer than my 530 with trans?
