I would like to do a DIY on replacing the camshaft postion sensor (exhaust)on my 528i sport auto E39 (1999) BMW. Where is it located and how long should it take to install
Can anyone help? used:
Help would be very much appreciated
look on the front of the cyl head (on the front on the exhaust side of the head) there will be a connector that you'll unplug (usually have difficulty here since the overflow tank is right there). You'll need a 5mm alan key to release the cam sensor...should take no more than 10 min to complete the change. Just be sure to replace the o-ring with the cam sensor.
