Cabin Filter on '91 535

I received my cabin filter yesterday and began the job. After following the Bentley manual's instructions to take down the glove box and surrounding covers, I couldn't find anything that matches the manual's or the filter's further instructions.

Does anyone have any experience to share on this?

I need to get this done. The car had 187,000 miles when I bought it and I'm sure it hasn't been changed in a while.

Thanks for your response. I'll check with the dealer who sold me the filter. Maybe this car doesn't have a filter.
